Guide Street, one of the historic districts in Taipei City, was beautifully famed for its tea merchants Lane. During the tea production seasons, the scents of gardenia flowers and tea leafs would fill the streets with its captivating aroma.

The street’s beautiful sights of family members of the tea merchants would gather together, sitting on stools and began picking dried tea leafs from the production baskets, in time for tea production season.

This was a collaboration with Guide Street's tea market fair in Taiwan. I designed a collection of prints inspired from the street's tea industry history, merging Paochong Tea leafs with gardenia flowers as the key visual story.

印花創作靈感來自大稻埕貴德街，佈滿茶與花香的文化故事。

街道裡家家戶戶瀰漫著烘茶的香氣，時而夾著茉莉花和梔子花的花香。藉此懷想貴德街的歷史：『大稻埕茶行亭仔腳堆滿了茉莉花、樹玉蘭花和梔子花。母親在屋簷挑茶梗，小孩們腳踏在花堆裏奔跑玩耍，可以想像整條茶街的氣味和熱鬧情景。』至今、在每年初春，位於貴德街仍可聞到風中飄來製茶時、淡淡的茉莉花與茶香氣。

透過手繪包種茶葉輪廓，融入梔子花瓣型態，創作一系列四方連續、色彩取自台灣鮮明四季的印花設計。創作由街道的歷史與茶葉文化，衍生「梔子花與包種茶」系列印花。

透過手繪印花輪廓、手工絹印在貴德街布商提供的老布，以及數位印刷於純棉布包巾；印染的是茶田滿山遍野的生命蓬勃，交織的是瀰漫梔子花香的街道裡，一杯好茶聯繫著比鄰間溫暖的情感光陰。

Screen printing the patterns onto second-handed cotton canvases provided by the local textile vendor at Guide Street, Taipei city. By breathing new life into the used fabrics, I wanted to treasure the resources yet building the collaboration on the basis of reusable materials and environmentally-friendly ink.

手工絹印三色圖層於在貴德街布商提供的老布上，文化故事與印花色彩注入老布新生命。此系列手工絹印布在貴德街的茶市集做展出，平鋪在整棟騎樓巷弄的台階上，作為展現手作職人與在地農市的攤位裝置藝術。
